The Role Business & Economics Teacher

• Full-time Business & Economics Teacher position from January 2027
• Teach Business Studies and Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5
• Deliver engaging challenging and academically rigorous lessons
• Develop students understanding of business operations economic principles markets and financial decision-making
• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire curiosity and independent thinking
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to maximise achievement
• Contribute to curriculum planning assessment and departmental development
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and drive outstanding teaching and learning
• Promote a culture of high expectations academic excellence and continuous improvement

About You

• PGCE with QTS from a recognised UK university
• Bachelors degree in Business Economics Finance or a related subject from a recognised UK university
• Strong academic background with excellent subject knowledge in Business and Economics
• Proven experience teaching Business Studies and/or Economics at KS4 and KS5
• A track record of delivering strong academic outcomes and supporting student progress
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A genuine passion for Business and Economics education
• High expectations of students and a commitment to securing outstanding outcomes
• Strong organisational interpersonal and collaborative skills
• A proactive approach to professional development and curriculum innovation
